Venezuelan Contemporary Art Exhibitions

EL CONSULADO NYC Hosted the KIOSKO Exhibit

The artist collective EL CONSULADO NYC organized a temporary exhibition titled KIOSKO. The three-day event, which ran from January 9 to January 11, took place at The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in New York.

KIOSKO presented works from 57 Venezuelan contemporary artists alongside musical performances by Tambor & Caña and Luke Grande, as well as transnational dialogues with artists in Caracas. EL CONSULADO NYC framed this exhibit as a community-focused gathering intended to foster visibility and critical reflection within the Venezuelan diasporic artistic scene. The event also facilitated the direct sale of artwork, which would support the participating artists.

EL CONSULADO NYC notes that "the pop-up unfolds at a moment of heightened reflection for Venezuelans, prompting renewed conversations around memory, responsibility, and the role of cultural practice in shaping collective understanding."
