Ekto VR Boots Allow Users to Easily Walk Through the Metaverse

Ekto VR is the latest attempt to solve the Location Interface problem of the virtual reality world. VR headsets allow users to hear and see the metaverse, but the issue of mobility remains for many VR systems. Some systems have opted for a treadmill set up to mimic the action of walking, but Ekto VR discovered a more mobile solution.

The VR boots use motorized wheels to simulate the feel of walking. The wheels go in the opposite direction and speed as the user's feet to trick the brain into thinking the body is moving forward. This creates a more realistic VR experience by fully integrating the body's motions into the virtual space. Currently, the Ekto VR boots are in the prototype phase.
