Festive Beverage Catologs

Madeleine Eiche's Eggnog Project Documents Artsy Eggnog Carton Designs

The Eggnog Project by Madeleine Eiche egg-zamines beauty found in an uncommon (but festive) place: eggnog carton designs. The Seattle-based graphic designer began the online catalog to document different designs of eggnog cartons across North America. The kitschy collection ranges from festive to utterly unappealing.

The inspiration for the project came to Eiche in 2002 when she was employed at a coffee shop in New York making eggnog lattes. This, the Dairy Fresh Canestoga packaging, a love of dairy products and a keen interest in pop art came together to create this unusual and compelling archive.

The bright colours represented among these amassed cartons are reminiscent of Andy Warhol's soup cans. They also remind us that beauty can be found everywhere, if only people take the time to look for it.
