Most consumers and manicurists have come to the conclusions that it is anything but easy to remove gel nail polish, as it is a process that involves long periods of soaking and plenty of surface buffing. As a result of the removal treatment, one's nails are often damaged—but OPI developed the ProHealth Technology Base Coat and Top Coat to remedy this.

This two-piece system promises to protect one's nails from damage often caused by gel manicures, as well as make the removal process incredibly easy and shorten it to just about seven minutes.

To use, the ProHealth Technology Base Coat is to be applied first to nourish and protect nails. After this layer has been cured under a UV light, a GelColor polish can be chosen from OPI's wide assortment and topped with a coat to seal in the color. When it comes to removal, a cotton ball can be soaked in acetone remover, applied to the nail and the gel color easily flakes away.
