Fitbit is launching an early detection study for COVID-9, which people can opt into through the Fitbit app. Data form the early detection study will help Fitbit create an algorithm that could be potentially used to predict the onset of COVid-19. All of the information collected through the study is confidential, and participants are able to withdraw participation at any time.
As part of the study the company is asking users in the United States and Canada who have COVID-19 to answer questions.
