Suzuki and Sanyo's new electric scooter e-Let is a complete emissions-free two-wheeler with a maximum speed of 30 kph. The electric scooter consists of Sanyo Electric Company's high-performance electric drive systems, which are comprised of wheel hub motors, efficient control circuits, lithium-ion batteries and chargers.
The e-Let electric scooter is in the testing phase, and its performance is under review to complete and commercialize the product.
Implications - The eco-movement has transcended niche groups and it informs the values of a large cross-section of society. At the same time, these consumers want the privacy of travelling by themselves. Companies should create products for these consumers who want the best of both worlds.
