Dual-Compartment Glass Bottles

Bormioli Luigi Introduces INDUE for Cosmetic Formulations

Bormioli Luigi has developed dual-compartment glass bottles that allow beauty products to store sensitive ingredients separately until application. Its INDUE packaging concept replaces the plastic traditionally used for this format with molded glass, offering a premium alternative for complex skincare formulas. Created alongside Aptar Beauty, the bottle incorporates a dispensing system that measures and combines ingredients when the product is released, helping preserve the effectiveness of active components.

The design features two chambers with different capacities, accommodating formulations that require a two-thirds and one-third ratio. This approach supports ingredients such as vitamin C, which can lose stability when exposed to certain conditions or other actives.

For cosmetic manufacturers, INDUE creates opportunities to develop specialized skincare products while offering customizable bottle sizes, decorative finishes, and compatible pumps. Its recyclable glass construction also provides an alternative for brands exploring different packaging materials.
