Yangi Introduced Its Dry-Formed Trays Used by Flavor Boss

Yangi introduced dry-formed takeaway trays produced on its industrial demo line in Varberg, Sweden, with the fibre-based packaging now being used by food truck operator Flavor Boss. The trays mark the first public deployment of Yangi's quick-serve and takeaway packaging, providing real-world feedback on performance in busy foodservice environments.

Made using Yangi's dry-forming technology, the trays are designed to integrate with existing paper recycling streams while reducing resource consumption and CO2 emissions compared with plastic alternatives. The material recipe and barrier chemistry enable the packaging to withstand oil and moisture throughout a meal, while the trial allows Yangi to evaluate handling, durability and day-to-day usability before scaling production.

For foodservice operators and consumers, the trays offer a fibre-based alternative to single-use plastic packaging without compromising functionality. The pilot reflects the growing emphasis on validating sustainable packaging solutions in real operating conditions before broader commercial adoption.
