Eclectic London Renovations

Druid Grove is a Renovated Terraced House in East Dulwich by CAN

Druid Grove is a residential renovation of a three-bedroom terraced house in East Dulwich, London, completed by architecture studio CAN. The project reworks the ground floor through a modest rear extension and the removal of a central wall, reorganising circulation around a new internal antechamber. A stainless steel kitchen island sits at the centre of the plan, while plywood flooring and exposed timber elements define the main living spaces. Openings between rooms are shaped with thickened edges and sliding panels, creating a sequence of connected zones rather than enclosed rooms.

The interior palette combines painted plaster surfaces with timber, tile, and stone elements. Overhead timber trusses span the main living area, while colour is used selectively across secondary spaces, including the study and bathroom. The garden includes a freestanding stone element positioned to provide privacy. The renovation prioritises spatial continuity, material variation, and flexible use across a compact domestic footprint.
