'Drive-Thru On Demand' is the name of a mobile app that aims to make it possible for every restaurant to become a drive-thru by making it easy for consumers to order, pay and receive their food with ease.
Once launched, the app is set to be available for free and transform the participating restaurants into drive-thru services, whether or not they have the conventional drive-thru setup. When it comes time for a customer to pickup their order, the app makes it possible for them to press an "I'm here" button when they are at the restaurant. For a $1.79 convenience fee, a restaurant employee will deliver one's order to the car—and just like a traditional drive-thru experience, this process doesn't require unbuckling one's seatbelt.
