The Dragonfly.MGX Pendant Lamp is Created Via a 3D Printer

— October 28, 2010 — Art & Design
Though an insect's eye is not the most glamorous image, design studio 'WertelOberfell-Platform' has defiantly modeled their Dragonfly.MGX pendant light after one to prove otherwise.

Created using a 3D printer, the Dragonfly.MGX boasts a honeycomb aesthetic that is completely mesmerizing. On a practical level, the lampshade shields eyes from glare while letting a significant amount of light pass through. According to PSFK, "each piece is individually drawn and created by laser beam, and carefully finished by hand."
