Rather than using a natural volatilizing process to disperse fresh scents into a room, this diffuser design by iAN Yen and Design YxR uses centrifugal force and rotation to spread pleasingly scented oils throughout an interior.
The unconventional diffuser design was inspired by maglev technology (magnetic levitation) that's used on some of China's most high-tech trains. As a result, the tech-inspired diffuser design uses a plate that floats and rotates without any friction to slowly diffuse aroma throughout an interior space.
Although a home diffuser can be as simple as an oil heated over a candle, this blend of technology, physics and design makes for a luxurious and tranquil way to bring about relaxation so that the benefits of aromatherapy can easily be breathed in.
