The Diddo Cure for Greed kit demonstrates the iconic nature and dangers of greed. Placed inside a wooden box, the kit is made up of a 24-karat, gold-plated, old fashioned-looking syringe with two removable needle points and a 5ml capsule, or "dose" of ink, made out of $10,000 of American bills.
One of the seven deadly sins is greed, but it is pervasive in this world and Diddo appropriately uses money and gold, items considered extremely valuable, to symbolize its nature. In the short video, a chemistry-style tutorial shows a process where $50 bills are shredded and ground into a fine powder, then mixed and boiled into a concentrated liquid which is encapsulated into a small vial.
The Diddo Cure for Greed kit changes the nature of gold and money, questioning their inherent value.
