Designer Adriano Rachele used folded gold and steel ribbons to craft the luxurious and intricate gold and silver 'Veli' series of lamps. Designed for Italian lighting design company Slamp, the Veli lamps are offered in wall-mounted and suspended versions and offer a glamorous and luxurious look while being versatile in the ways in which they can be used as decorative and lighting solutions. They are intended for use in both residential and commercial settings.
The goldflex and steelflex materials used to create the ribbons comprise a polycarbonate polymer base which is metallized using aluminum vapors, giving it a mirror-like reflective surface. This reflection magnifies the intensity of the light emitted by the lamp.
The Veli lamps' designer Adriano Rochele created three different designs -- a standard version, a larger wall or ceiling mounted version and suspension options.
