For the design of the dermatological skincare range 'Oily Skin' for Tesco, Lavernia&Cienfuegos created typography-focused packaging that aims to capture the eyes of youth with its bold, clean graphics.

The youth-targeted skincare collection was developed by Lavernia&Cienfuegos to convey a "restrained, functional look" that prioritizes sharing the efficacy of the products for various skin issues, such as oil control, with the utmost clarity.

Although the look of the finished Oily Skin range is bright and modern, the design borrows typographic elements from old medicinal compounds that were found in 19th century pharmacies, which favored the mixing and matching of different styles and sizes of fonts. Some of the products that can be found in the Oily Skin range from Tesco include a face scrub, a cleansing gel and a moisturizing fluid.
