The Denton Reserve renovation reimagines an 18th-century Georgian manor through circular design principles and local craftsmanship. Led by BOX9 Design, the project introduces freestanding installations and sculptural furniture that preserve the home’s original proportions while bringing a contemporary rhythm to its interiors. The approach focuses on material reuse and sustainable sourcing, turning historical preservation into an active design dialogue.
Each crafted piece draws from the surrounding Yorkshire Dales landscape, using storm-felled oak, heather, cork, and marble offcuts to echo natural textures and tones. Collaborations with makers such as Studio Amos and Ted Jefferis add a tactile richness, with handcrafted lighting and bespoke furnishings creating layers of warmth within the Georgian framework. The result blends heritage and innovation, illustrating how traditional architecture can evolve through craft-led, circular thinking without losing its historical essence.
