Amazon Will Start Food Delivery Services in Indian Markets

Amazon has indicated that it will enter the produce delivery market in India, which is already populated by two large companies: Swiggy and Zomato. Amazon released a statement about the move, stating “We believe in innovating on behalf of our customers to create newer experiences for them. As part of this commitment, we are constantly evaluating new areas and opportunities to connect with and serve our customers. We will come back to you when we have something to announce.”

The move is expected to take place within a month as a component of one of the already existing delivery services operating by the e-commerce giant, including Amazon Prime and Amazon Fresh. Ahead of the launch, Amazon was working with restaurants to troubleshoot the food delivery market.
