Any food that undergoes the deep-frying process is always welcome in my mouth, especially when it comes to deep-fried fruit. Nick, from FoodDudes.com, has pushed quite a few boundaries in the business of deep frying foods. His most recent post on the site documents his experience of various deep-fried fruit and vegetable variations. His experiment included deep frying carrots, avocado, Granny Smith Apples, bananas and watermelon.
While deep frying bananas is in fact a tradition in many Asian cultures, the other deep fried fruit creations including watermelon is truly eye-opening. Nick concluded that the watermelon was the least of his favorite, yet I still find myself staring at the drool-inducing images.
Implications - Businesses that push the boundaries of convention by offering their clients truly unique and never-before-seen products will benefit by creating a lasting impression in the minds of consumers. Businesses that follow this model will likely appeal to those consumers seeking fresh and one-of-a-kind products.
