Dearly Beloved wine is a tantalizing blend of macabre styling and vibrant celebration. This chillingly vivacious bottle of vino is the handiwork of design firm Stranger & Stranger. Taking aesthetic cues from Mexican folk art, the silkscreened label accompanies this feisty blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese Carignane & Grenache from Mendocino County. The label is embossed with a blooming flower-studded sugar skull. The meticulously rendered decorative details blend in with the equally mind-bending typography.
The copy is also incredibly engaging. The name of the wine is 'Forever Red,' which is cleverly close to 'Forever Dead.' The label ends off with the words, "back to the very earth," which does not only provide a nod to the grapes from which this vino sprung, but also has playfully macabre connotations.
Daringly dark yet passionate and playful, the Dearly Beloved bottle is as tempting as the wine it houses.
