In an effort to curb online dating fatigue, the dating app Thursday is taking things IRL with a series of in-person events.
For those unfamiliar, the dating app Thursday is a unique platform that can only be used one day a week. On Thursdays, the app comes to life and reveals singles near you who also want to meet that day. Now, the app has also added in-person events where members can meet up in person. Each week the app releases the location of a secret bar where singles come together. As a spokesperson for the company said: “what single people really want is to meet someone in a bar naturally.”
Right now the in-persons singles events are limited to New York City and London, but the app plans to branch out to other cities soon.
