Trader Joe's new Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter Cups are a nut-free take on the brand's iconic Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. The tasty new treats consist of a rich, dark chocolate shell that measures two inches in diameter. The inside of each cup is then filled with a thick and creamy sunflower seed butter, "which has been salted and sweetened just enough to avoid the bitterness that sometimes accompanies plain sunflower seed butter." The result is a sweet and salty combination that tastes just like a peanut butter cup, but is completely free of gluten, dairy, soy, and tree nuts. As a result, these nut-free chocolate treats are the perfect choice for school lunches.
