The Dancing Traffic Light is a stunt that was set up by Smart Car in Portugal to turn a busy and dangerous intersection into a safe one. Since there are tons of people who are too impatient to wait for the light to tell them when to cross, traffic lights can actually be some of the most dangerous places for pedestrians. In order to make waiting around for a stop light to change color more interesting, Smart Car made an ordinary crosswalk sign interactive.
Standing across the street, you'd see that familiar illuminated figure doing a dance. To make the campaign even more interesting, the moves that came from this figure were generated by real people in real time from a nearby booth.
