While the dad bod fad dominated social media channels a few months ago, it is also resonating with fashion industry insiders. Edgy menswear label Kolovrat makes a subtle reference to the popular hashtag and social media topic in its Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

The high-end menswear line was showcased at ModaLisboa earlier this month and featured a mix of dad essentials like flood pants, oversized polos, boxy sandals and contemporary versions of the classic Hawaiian shirt -- made modern with graphic black and white patterns. Kolovrat founder Lidija Kolovrat's Spring/Summer 2016 collection appeared edgy and youthful at first glance thanks to draped silhouettes and asymmetrical hems but a closer look at its pieces revealed a dad bod inspiration.

Next to its edgy accents like leather panels and sheer textiles, this menswear range ultimately promoted comfortable and functional pieces.
