Steam power isn't the first thing that comes to people's minds when thinking about high-speed personal vehicles, but the Cyclone-Williams Steam Engine packs a serious amount of horsepower for a technology so overlooked in recent years.
The Cyclone-Williams steam engine is a heat-regenerative external combustion device that that can function using a wide array of fuels and can also reach up to 160mph. Its designers hope it will clinch the world record for steam-powered land speed.
