Indian-Inspired Craft Lagers

Curry Smugglers Launches Two Indian-Inspired Craft Lagers

The Curry Smugglers beer range expands the South Asia-inspired brand into craft brewing with two lagers developed around Indian ingredients and flavors. The lineup includes a 4.2% ABV Basmati Rice Lager brewed with rice to reference India's early brewing traditions, alongside Mango Mirchi, an alcohol-free lager infused with Alphonso mango and habanero chilli. The brewery applies a clean, light-bodied lager profile across both releases while introducing distinctive flavor combinations that reflect the brand's Desi food influences. The launch marks Curry Smugglers' first move beyond its established premium snack range.

The Basmati Rice Lager draws inspiration from India's brewing heritage before the rise of India Pale Ale, incorporating rice as a key ingredient within a contemporary recipe. Mango Mirchi is built on a non-alcoholic lager base, combining sweet mango with gradual chilli heat to create a balanced flavor profile for the growing low- and no-alcohol category.
