Haldiram’s Created a Collection of Ice Creams Inspired by India

Becoming aware of rising interest in South Asian desserts and flavors led Haldiram’s to launch a range of six exclusive ice creams inspired by India’s most popular sweets, drinks and flavor combinations at its flagship Leicester Square restaurant. The ice cream collection made for the UK market features favorites like Masala Chai, and pairings like Saffron & Mango, and helps to expose consumers to a fresh side of Indian food culture with other flavors and ingredients that are seldom seen on ice cream menus in the country.

Milk Cake Crumble folds real pieces of milk cake throughout the ice cream, while Royal Rose Falooda reinterprets a classic rose-flavored dessert drink. Of the six ice creams, an emerging favorite is Jamun Kala Khatta, a vegan sorbet inspired by traditional kala khatta.
