The Cape Town EDITION introduces culturally immersive luxury hotels to Africa through the brand's first property on the continent. Located along the V&A Waterfront, the hotel combines contemporary hospitality with architectural details inspired by Cape Town's working harbor, offering guests a closer connection to the destination.
Designed by Neri&Hu alongside local firms, the 142-room property incorporates more than six million hand-laid bricks, African artwork, and locally crafted furnishings. Its restaurants highlight regional ingredients, while a rooftop pool, wellness facilities, and cultural gathering spaces create experiences beyond traditional accommodation. A spiral staircase also leads visitors to an outdoor viewing platform overlooking the surrounding landscape.
For EDITION, the opening expands its international presence while supporting Cape Town's luxury tourism sector. Partnerships with regional artists, producers, and designers strengthen local connections, while public-facing dining and social venues attract both travelers and residents.
