This Jose Cuervo Margarita Went to Outer Space to Get Shaken and Frozen
Laura McQuarrie — March 10, 2015 — Marketing
Now that a Jose Cuervo margarita has gone to space and back, there are few others who can claim that they make a cocktail that's truly out of this world.
In celebration of this year's National Margarita Day, the tequila brand set out to take its cocktail creations to dramatic new heights. This involved the use of aerospace technology and GPS tracking in order to rocket a container of margarita towards the sky. As planned, the drink spent some time in space being shaken and frozen before making its descent back to the only planet where this effort would be appreciated via parachute. To keep tabs on the cocktail, Jose Cuervo fans could follow the margarita-making experience on the brand's social channels. Reportedly, the world's first cocktail frozen in space was quite tasty to boot.
