TikTok Has Released Creator Next to Increase In-App Monetization

'TikTok,' the largest short-video sharing platform in the world when paired with its Chinese version 'Douyin,' has released a new feature for creator monetization called 'Creator Next.' Creator Next provides tools to creators on the app that allows for creators to seamlessly integrate a 'Stripe' account to receive tip donations. This tipping feature will be available on TikTok live streams as well as on posted videos, providing creators with diversified ways of earning an income.
Alongside the tipping feature, TikTok has also released a 'Video Gifts' feature where creators can receive 'Diamonds' as video gifts on their videos. This feature was previously only available for livestreams. Lastly, TikTok has increased the number of creators eligible to access the 'TikTok Creator Marketplace,' meaning any creator with 10 thousand followers or more can sign up to collaborate with brands for sponsored posts.
