Richard Hutten & Nine Designers Produce a Striking Range of Rugs

Richard Hutten tapped nine leading designers for a capsule of extravagantly creative rugs. The initiative is commissioned by Carpet Sign — a Dutch manufacturer that utilizes robotic technology for tufting techniques.

The collection is dubbed 'Freedom' and the title might allude to the uninterrupted artistic drive that the task warranted. Each designer who was a part of the project had free reign over style decisions and as a result, the line-up of creative rugs becomes quite interesting, expressive and eclectic. The individuals who were selected by Richard Hutten were not all product developers — he tapped also graphic designers, architects, and artists. The initative is truly an amalgamation of Nordic design and pure artistry.

'Freedom' is said to debut during Milan design week.
