Michaels' Test and Learn Stores Include Art Hubs & Maker Spaces

Michaels is introducing a pair of new arts and craft stores in Texas that are focused on offering interactive and immersive in-store experiences. As part of a larger strategy to reimagine the whole maker shopping experience, Michaels introduced new in-store layouts and concepts to existing locations.

The new concept stores are designed to offer inspiration and spark creativity, as well as offer plenty of opportunities for consumers to interact with products before making a purchase. There are in-store hubs for fine arts, kids, seasonal products and more, plus dedicated maker spaces where classes can be taken.

The new arts and crafts stores boast fresh concrete floors, new signage, lower fixtures and updated checkout systems with advanced technology to support shop and scan capabilities. While there's plenty to discover in-store, the updated locations also support curbside and delivery orders.
