In what is apparently a world first, this variation on Cornish pasties combines both mincemeat and custard. Available at the Cornwall-based Warren's Bakery in the UK, which just happens to be the world's oldest Cornish pasty bakery, the puff pasty combines the best of both worlds, especially for indecisive folks.
Just in time for Christmas, the snack is full of "specially selected mincemeat and a vanilla custard." The glazed pasty is topped with a cinnamon and sugar blend, which adds sweetness as well as a crunchy texture.
Prepared in the same way as their other savory Cornish pasties, this edible experiment is sure to get Brits talking and is well worth trying if you are visiting the area. It will be available beginning November 15th.
