As an alternative to most tortillas that can be purchased at the store or a fast food chain that are made with more than a dozen ingredients, Mexican fast food chain Chipotle created new corn tortillas that boast minimal ingredients.
The new tortillas from Chipotle are made with between two to five ingredients; the flour tortillas are comprised of only flour, water, salt, yeast and canola oil, while the corn variety is a combination of just corn masa flour and water.These tortillas are used to make a variety of menu items at Chipotle, including tacos, burritos and chips.
Most notably, Chipotle is now recognized as the only natural restaurant brand to exclude added colors, flavors, or preservatives from the food that it serves in the United States.
