Studio OSKLO Designs the Cordell Drive Home in Hollywood

The Cordell Drive home nestled in the Hollywood Hills has been recently renovated by Los Angeles-based firm Studio OSKLO. It highlights a modern classic aesthetic with the goal of standing out in a neighborhood full of new builds. The home has a box-like structure with a shallow roof on top paired with parapet walls and simple details.

Arya and Michael Martin, who are the co-founders of Studio OSKLO speak about the design themes. The two note, β€œIt was the best of Hollywood Regency design without the later 1950s and 1960s embellishments. Simple and clean lines, minimalist architectural accents in vertical colonnades and decorative adornment.” The team worked on the project over the course of two years to preserve the overall structure.
