Located in Texas, along the Llano River, this cozy and contemporary country home is bound to give its residents a worthwhile and mindful break of the ever-evolving urban environment. The design and construction of the modern rustic dwelling were overseen by U.S. studio Michael Hsu Office of Architecture.
The location of the contemporary country home is of significant importance to its owners. The plot has been previously utilized as a raw camping site during family excursions. Outgrowing the "pole-structure with a metal roof" that used to be the headquarters during these trips, the clients commissions Michael Hsu Office of Architecture for a more permanent structure that will satisfy arising needs. The incredibly modern aesthetic of the building has been achieved through the strategic implementation of charred wood, stone, and a fully glazed facade.
