BMW MotorRad's ConnectedRide Sunglasses Feature an AR HUD

The MotorRad ConnectedRide sunglasses are a pair of innovative motorcycle goggles that feature head-up display (HUD) technology. They project relevant data, such as speed, gear, or navigation, directly into the rider’s field of vision in real time, allowing them to access this information without taking their eyes off the road. The sunglasses are Bluetooth compatible and can be connected to smartphones and equipped BMW motorcycles. They can be controlled using the handlebar-mounted multi-controller.

The MotorRad ConnectedRide sunglasses are expected to arrive in the U.S. later in 2023, but they are already available in Europe for €690 (US$757). They can be adapted to fit various helmets and face shapes, and they come with two sets of certified UVA/UVB lenses, one transparent and one tinted. They also have an RX adapter for prescription glasses users. The sunglasses have a lithium-ion battery that enables up to ten hours of operation.
