Wildetecture's Design Turns Business People into Warriors

Sometimes entering a meeting room can feel like getting ready for war, especially if people are gearing up for a verbal fight; this conference furniture captures that sentiment. It takes on the abstract form of a viking ship. While the table may remain rather tame in its typical glass form, the chairs are what sets the conference furniture apart from other sets.

Designed by Wildetecture, a studio based in Cape Town, South Africa, the conference furniture takes on the curved shape of such historical sea vessels. Although the chairs look entirely uncomfortable, the overall effect is on key. Intimidating and entertaining, the conference furniture will get people in the right mind frame right off the bat. As Neatorama puts it, "Meetings in such a room would inspire the same type of aggressive business strategy that carried Norse raiders from Newfoundland to the Caspian Sea."
