This Conference Center Building Pays Homage to Nearby Mountains

The area of Yabuli in northeastern China is known for its gorgeously rugged mountainous terrain and freezing temperatures, so when MAD Architects was given the responsibility of building a new conference center building for the region, it decided to come up with a splendid structure to seamlessly blend in with its surroundings.

The end result is the Yabuli Conference Centre, a curvaceous and quietly elegant building with lines that pay homage to the surrounding mountains, allowing the building to blend in with the beautiful expanse that it occupies.

In addition to its elegant aesthetics, this conference center building is also well-equipped and will include a museum, multiple auditoriums, several exhibition spaces and studios.

However, the true calling card of this building is the manner in which it refuses to intrude on the surrounding natural aesthetics, instead embracing and incorporating them with spectacular effect.
