Studio Fffaaarrr Designs the Common Grounds Terra Cafe

Local design firm Studio Ffffaaarrr has designed a coffee shop which also functions as a tennis club -- the Common Grounds Terra cafe and Menteng Tennis Club is a coffee shop with full-sized tennis court right in the center of Jakarta. The project is defined as an "experiment in typology, which explores the possibilities and the collaborative functions between the two." It is described by the co-founder Andro Kaliandi and Fauzia Evanindya to Dezeen.

It sets back from the street which is right behind some planting and some rocks. It is made with a single-level glass facade and then topped off with a conventional gabled roof. The dynamic cafe extends across the ground floor with a mazzanine level.
