IBM recently filed a patent for a camera-equipped coffee delivery drone that promises to do more than just put beverages in the hands of consumers. It is detailed that the coffee drone would be able to deliver a pre-ordered coffee to various settings via facial or voice recognition technology, an electronic ID tag or Bluetooth, so as to ensure that the right person is getting their order.

Beyond this, IBM also describes that the hovering drone would be able to predict when one needs a coffee most based on several different factors. For instance, the drone may be able to read the data from one's fitness device or a digital calendar and boast the ability to assess biometrics, facial expressions and the time at which one woke up in the morning.
