What's unique about this piece is that it functions beautifully as a cocktails' table for a number of guests and their individual drinks. Instead of having to reach for a single communal surface on which to place and mix up glasses, people can use this many-legged table that proffers separate wooden plates, extending in the direction of the sitters surrounding it.
Called the 'Big Dipper Coffee Table,' this multifaceted movable by WoollyWoody presented a distinctive design challenge to keep stability, requiring the use of mortise and tenon technology from the ancient Chinese tradition. Six small platters balance on ash wood posts, slightly elevated from the principle tabletop and capable of accommodating drinking vessels and small plates.
