Coal Country Beeworks is an organization that is trying to save the Appalachian Mountains from coal mining.

Strip mining, as it is referred to, has a great impact on the environment as well health. Apart from ruining the planet, the process has other superficial effects as well, like making the mountains look ugly and smelling bad. Coal County Beeworks strongly advocates that the Appalachian Mountains and neighboring villages drop their pick axes and pick up bee steamers. Their argument is that beekeeping would transform the land into a thriving ecosystem. Who can disagree when you stack up the pros and cons?
