StyLend is a clothing rental service with a pretty unique premise. Unfortunately for a lot of women, it's quite common to become smitten with something in-store, buy it and then never actually take it off the hanger in your closet when you get it home. StyLend enables shoppers to make a profit from this, serving as a platform for people to rent out items directly from their closets.

If you want to rent out an item, StyLend has two options. One includes a do-it-yourself approach, which involves listing their own merchandise, meeting with the borrowers and caring for the cleaning of the items. StyLend's second option is the 'Concierge,' which takes care of everything on behalf of the renter. The DIY approach earns listers about 70% of the rental price, whereas the Concierge option is about 50%. Either way, it's a great way to make money from items that are idly sitting in the back of a closet.
