A series of classical pop culture ads is bringing attention to the importance of live arts to younger generations. By placing Robocop in a tutu while making Catwoman and Michael Myers perform atypical dance moves, the Multicines Cultural Journeys campaign promotes the airing of ballet, opera and dance performances on the silver screen. People can easily get their culture fix now.
Conceived and executed by LOWE/Delta, an ad agency based in Quito, Ecuador, the classical pop culture ads were art directed by Rodrigo Mejía Vera with creative direction by Carlos Oviedo. The clever and comical images were shot by photographer Jaime Pavón and feature the sculptures of artist Martín Pozo. Perhaps a limited edition should be sold to drive the point home.
