NeSpoon Polska's City Decor Graffiti Project Resembles Lovely Lace Patterns

In her project 'City Decor,' Polish street artist NeSpoon Polska uses a stencil to create unexpectedly delicate street art. The lovely lace like patterns are spray painted all over the historic city of Warsaw, beautifying the European city. Public property including parking meters and electrical boxes are decorated with intricate doily-like art. This is a welcome change from graffiti tags or crude cartoons.

While still technically illegal, City Decor is a new, more feminine form of street art. Instead of implicating gang activity or other undesirable elements of urban life, the stencils add an interesting visual element to existing metropolitan eyesores. It is clear that the same stencil was used for a variety of locations, but the different surfaces and locations make the artwork unique all the same.
