The car-shaped bicycle rack is true to the size of a real vehicle, emphasizing the point that about 10 bicycles can be parked in the space that a single car occupies. As well as calling out car drivers, the Car Bike Port also provides city cyclists with ample space to dock their bikes. With the metal frame set up closest to the road, this clever design also acts as a protective barrier for cyclists dropping off or retrieving their bikes.
As a group that specializes in "innovative cycle parking infrastructure," Cyclehoop was commissioned by the London Festival of Architecture to bring more awareness to the benefits of cycling to reduce congestion, as well as create healthier cities and people.
