CITIZEN and Nissan Are Set to Launch Z-Car-Inspired Timepieces

Luxury watch brand CITIZEN has teased its first collaboration with Japanese car manufacturer Nissan, unveiling two new limited edition timepieces inspired by the automaker's Z-cars. In particular, the new watches pay tribute to Nissan Z's first-ever 1969 model, the Fairlady Z, which featured a 2.0L SOHC L20A straight-six engine.
The new timepieces, dubbed the AT8185-89E and AT8185-97E, will come equipped with CITIZEN’s solar-powered Eco-Drive Radio-Controlled technology. Because of this, the watches will not need an internal battery and will instead be powered through a built-in solar cell.
Fans of the iconic Fairlady Z will be pleased with the nuance and detailing found on the new watches, which are now available for presale on CITIZEN's website. According to CITIZEN, the watches will receive an in-store launch this March at the brand's flagship locations in New York City.
