Charitable Household Appliance Initiatives

Circle Home Charity, DHL and Danby Appliances Partner

Circle Home Charity, DHL employees, and Danby Appliances recently embarked on a collaborative charitable initiative.

The event brought together volunteers from DHL's Toronto station who donated approximately 40 to 45 small household appliances and items — from microwaves and kettles to coffee makers and kitchen tools — which were then transported to Circle Home's Furniture Bank in Guelph for distribution to families transitioning into stable housing.

Circle Home Charity focuses on supporting newcomer families settling in the region, many of whom arrive with very few possessions after leaving difficult circumstances. The Furniture Bank provides access to donated furniture and essentials that help transform empty spaces into functioning homes. Danby Appliances and community leader Jim Estill support the organization's efforts.
