Chuck by Natascha Harra-Frischkorn is at Once Simple and Artistic

Chuck by Natascha Harra-Frischkorn, a designer hailing from Germany, is a wall-mounted shelf that has a fun trick up its sleeve. Even though it is made up of multiple four millimeter thick planks of wood, when first installed it looks like a simple single shelf. Nevertheless, once people insert books and other knick knacks between the separate planks, everything changes. The thinness of the wood allows the planks to be extremely flexible, expanding to a wide leaf-shaped position when all are in use.

Part art piece, part furniture, Chuck by Natascha Harra-Frischkorn is as eye-catching as the objects it holds. In fact, place mundane items on its shelves and people most likely wouldn't give them a second look.
