Iceland has some of the most unique, untouched and beautiful landscapes known to man, and few people capture it better than 28-year-old self-taught photographer Chris Burkard.

During a recent trip to Iceland, Burkard took along a Lytro Illum camera -- these special cameras are known for giving photographers the ability to capture so-called 'living pictures', pictures that essentially help you explore a photo in depth by clicking on specific areas to bring the tiniest of details into focus. This effect helps viewers appreciate the inherent life captured in still photographs.

The camera also uses advanced light field optics to capture the color and direction of the light that passes through it lens in a single shot. This allows viewers to change the focus, tilt, perspective and depth of individual photographs.

When you bring together the advanced technology of the Lytro Illum camera, the jaw-dropping beauty of Iceland and the photographic prowess of Chris Burkard, you end up with a selection of photographs that are truly memorable.
